I graduated from Arnhem Business School with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a specialization in organization & change. I have worked for numerous start-ups and corporates in the fashion, tech, sports, and education industries. I started out in early 2016 as a marketing assistant at Multitools VOF. 5 years later, I have worked for Zalando, TUI, Euralarm, and Story of AMS. I did feel the need to take a slightly different career path, so besides helping companies out with their digital strategy, I am a life coach, and I’ve also got a mental health charity named “Let’s Break the Shame”. The last two being closely related.

In July 2019, I started an Instagram campaign to break the shame and stigma around mental health topics. Now, a few months later, it's an online success and it has become more than a campaign.

Work Experience

Let’s Break the Shame was set up in early 2019 and has the aim of breaking the mental health stigma in our society. We want to give everyone a voice and make people feel heard and understood. We give workshops at companies & guest lectures at schools, organize events, create videos, create online campaigns, give coaching sessions, and more. We are here to give everyone a way to speak up about their mental health struggles. We want to normalize talking about feelings and emotions.

For this client, I have worked on optimizing a few of their clients’ SEO by performing research, changing metadata, writing texts, and more. Furthermore, I am doing some marketing automation projects for them as well, mainly with ActiveCampaign. 

I worked at this tech agency as a Project Manager. I was responsible for managing all internal and external projects, pitching ideas to clients, communicate with clients, making sure all projects met all desired targets and deadlines, and more.

For this wine company, I’m responsible for the social and branding strategy. This includes, but is not limited to: analyzing the online presence, setting up an online strategy for every platform, designing posts, advertising, and keeping track of orders related to social media presence.

As a marketing assistant, I had many tasks and responsibilities. I wrote SEO texts for the website and for the thousands of products the company has in stock. Furthermore, I restructured the entire website in terms of adding products to the correct categories, determining prices, and creating product names. Other responsibilities were:

  • Assisting and supporting administrative staff
  • Assisting Marketing staff
  • Conducting research
  • Performing competitor analyses

Optimized the copy on TUI’s website and wrote new SEO texts for travel destinations. In order to do this, excellent verbal and written communication skills were required, as well as knowledge of SEO, creativity skills, and extreme attention to detail.

The main focus at this tech agency was on Project Management and Strategy Building in an agile environment. Responsibilities/tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partnering with other marketeers to support the planning and communication on (ad-hoc) projects.
  • The Project Management of marketing campaigns.
  • Delegating projects to the entire marketing team based on skills and strengths and provide them feedback during the entire process.
  • Continuously developing process improvements and increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Developing detailed project plans and develop timelines to track progress.
  • Measuring project performance using various tools.
  • Performing risk management.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Producing and implementing the marketing strategy.
  • Being end responsible for all projects.
  • Using and developing leadership skills by being responsible for the marketing department.

The focus within Marketing is on non-paid content and organic growth to get to know the brand voice and guidelines and managing a content calendar as well as on advanced social media management through ad buying, campaign management, and designing video formats. Furthermore, I acquire more skills through other aspects of Marketing namely:

  • Engineered marketing
  • Growth Hacking

Provided ready-to-use content that met the organization’s needs. In general, this meant translating articles from English to Dutch and from Dutch to English. The following were my responsibilities:

  • Read the provided material and perform research on industry-specific terminology
  • Ensure the translated content is written in the organization’s tone and conveys the original meaning
  • Check other provided material on grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.

For this client, I was responsible for the social media designs & strategy for 4 of their clients. 

For this client, I am responsible for optimizing marketing automation processes in ActiveCampaign for a couple of clients. In addition to this, I am in charge of improving other clients’ SEO performance by means of presenting and analyzing results, as well as directly changing the company’s content.
